Hey, what's going on? I'm Eric Horodyski, a twenty-one year old web designer from New Jersey. I've been doing web design for about eight years now -- although I have only worked one year professionally. Unfortunately, I was forced to take a leave at my dream job to concentrate on school. Only one year away from my Bachelor's in Computer Science, I've decided it's time for my portfolio site.

My design philosophy falls around the architectural ideology of functionalism. I believe that "form follows function"; design should be based around the practical considerations of the medium. Anyone could give a dilapidated car a nice coat of paint. Making that car run, well, that's where the skill comes in. Web design is no different. You can slap as much makeup on a website as you want, but unless it works in an elegant and easy-to-use manner, no one will use it.

Outside of web design, I have a huge passion for gaming, from my NES to my Xbox 360. I'm also a big metal head, which kind of influenced the style of the site. Oh, and I'm also quite the funnyman, as anyone who has held a conversation with me for at least five minutes with me will tell you.
